Caistor Town Market has a very rich history and is an ancient site of trade, as recorded as a Royal Mint from 970 to 1042. Today, surrounded by mainly Grade II listed Georgian and Victorian buildings, the market trades every Saturday between 8am and 2pm.
Temporarily reduced to trading by the Lion, the market will move back to its traditional position when the 2-4 Market Place development matures.
Locally grown fresh produce (Fruit and Veg, Farm Fresh Meat) are the weekly staple of the market, plus locally made crafts, plants, homemade conserves, honey, gifts, toys, and antiques.
