After working with West Lindsey District Council, we’re pleased to let you know that new, larger bins will be installed to help keep Caistor clean and tidy.

Many residents will have noticed that the current waste bins in the town centre and surrounding areas have struggled to cope with the volume of refuse being generated. The existing bins are no longer suitable for the town’s current or future needs.

Following discussions between Caistor Town Council and West Lindsey District Council, it has been agreed that the current bins will be replaced with larger, higher-capacity bins. While the heritage-style bins previously used are no longer manufactured in larger sizes, the new bins have been carefully chosen to fit well with the town centre’s character while providing significantly greater capacity.

We are very grateful to West Lindsey District Council for providing the new bins at no cost to the town and for increasing bin emptying from twice weekly to three times per week.

Installation of the new bins is expected in early 2026, including an additional bin near Today’s Supermarket to further help keep Caistor clean and tidy.
